Replacement Dwelling in the Greenbelt

Project Specifics

New Housing

Project Overview

The project is a modern replacement dwelling located in the Greenbelt. Our clients first came to us looking for extra space and more bedrooms. After getting approval to expand the existing property, their plans changed, and they decided to replace the entire dwelling.

Design Brief

One of the main goals for the clients was a double-height, bright hallway and gallery space that would create an open feel throughout the home. The house was designed according to the latest building regulations, focusing on water efficiency, insulation, and overall performance. Although it doesn’t include any visible sustainable features, the building’s structure is highly efficient and built to last.

Challenges

The biggest challenge was navigating the planning process. Creating a new dwelling in the Greenbelt involves several phases of approvals, detailed justification, and thoughtful design choices to comply with planning policies.

Our Approach

Our experience in successfully developing Greenbelt dwellings allowed us to guide the clients through the entire planning process. From strategy to submission, we made sure the proposals met all requirements while fulfilling the clients’ design goals.

Outcome

The outcome is an open-plan, four-bedroom family home that combines modern design with practical family living. The double-height gallery and thoughtfully designed spaces create a bright, airy environment, while the high-quality building materials ensure comfort and durability.
