The clients purchased the property with the intention of carrying out extensive extensions and alterations to address the awkward internal layout and dated external appearance.

Challenge

The scale of the proposed works required careful coordination to ensure the various extensions and roof alterations formed a cohesive and balanced design, while significantly increasing internal space and natural light.

Solution

We designed large single-storey rear extensions, a first-floor side extension, a two-storey front extension, and a new raised roof across the dwelling. The front extension introduces a full-height glazed entrance, creating a bright and welcoming arrival space. To the rear, the extensions form a large open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with expansive views of the tree-lined garden.

Outcome

The completed scheme has fully transformed the property, both internally and externally. The home is now light, spacious and contemporary, with a layout that supports modern family living and a strong connection to the garden.
