A reconfiguration, renovation, and restoration approach on this delightful Grade II Listed Building located in Epping, Essex has resulted in the most stunning completed project.

Demolishing the original kitchen and utility room made space for a large side extension to house a beautiful, airy modern kitchen and dining area.

Maintaining the original character of this home was a paramount objective. By reusing the studs to form a new partition between the living room and the dining room the new extension flowed beautifully into the communal living space.

Externally, we suggested a zinc roof, which gave a modern appearance to the façade that also suited the low roof angle. Zinc is also a highly sustainable and durable material requiring little maintenance. An additional finishing touch was the inclusion of a pergola to the patio which serves as a wonderful place to enjoy the garden views.

We worked together with the client on design and construction drawings, works schedule, internal lighting plans, and selecting the finishing materials.
