This extension to this large detached house was the second extension we had carried out for this client. The property is split level and the rear of the house is lower than the rest of the house. The new extension creates a living area off of the kitchen to provide a great family and entertaining space.

There was once a high-level patio at this level, with several drains in. We were able to remove the whole of the patio and move the drains so that still worked but at the new lower level.

The single-storey extension features a large glazed gable to allow plenty of light into the room, with bi-folding doors allowing the room to be opened up to the garden. In the ceiling are automatic opening roof lights which open and close depending on the weather. This double-height space really is a fantastic room for the family.

We worked on this project from inception all the way through to handing the keys back to the client. Running a project on-site allows us to keep a reign on costs and make sure it is built to the best standards.
